Area Fiscals Group Minutes Index
The remit of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service's Area Fiscals Group is:
- To meet regularly with Management Board in order to discuss operational policy and business issues in COPFS.
- To provide Area Fiscals and Crown Office Business Heads with opportunities to consider and advise on wider Departmental management matters, where possible, before Management Board takes the decision.
- To ensure that members accept a shared and collegiate understanding of their responsibility to lead the Department towards achievement of its business goals and strategic priorities.
- To maintain ownership of and to keep the risk register under review.
(NB: Prior to September 2006, the Group was known as the Legal and Policy Forum)

Please note that as result of changes in COPFS Management Structure in 2011, the Area Fiscals Group no longer exists and no similar group has replaced it. The last meeting was on 2 February 2011.
