£20 Million Barrier Smashed

The Proceeds of Crime Act continues to reap rewards as a staggering £21m has been secured since the Act came into force. The Lord Advocate, The Right Honourable Elish Angiolini QC, announced today, ahead of the next meeting of the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce.

Sentence More Than Doubled after Crown Appeal

The Appeal Court more than doubled a sentence which had been imposed on a man who pled guilty to a number of housebreaking and theft charges at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Appeal Lodged - Karen Duncan and Irene Duncan

The Lord Advocate has today lodged an appeal against the sentences imposed on Karen and Irene Duncan, who were convicted at the High Court in Glasgow for attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
